from Jewish Family Services (JFS)
Housing in Washtenaw County has become even tighter and more expensive than in years past, and this is affecting our refugee resettlement efforts. As we welcome refugees and now Ukrainian Humanitarian Parolees into our community, we need apartments with 1- to 4-bedrooms immediately.
We also need donations to help our new Ukrainian community members pay for food, children’s clothing, and other necessities, such as rent, utility bills, and transportation. We accept donations of used cars in good working condition.
If you are renting out your home or know someone with a rental property, please consider contacting JFS and allowing a family to occupy your home while you are gone. Please contact Mira Sussman for more information.
General donations can be made on the JFS website: https://jfsannarbor.org/resettlement-integration-services/ OR https://jfsannarbor.org/support/donate-online/.
