The Whole Bible group will begin discussion of a book entitled Jesus and the Powers by NT Wright and Michael Bird starting with our September 28th meeting, Saturday, 10am to 12noon, on Zoom. We chose this book because it offers a way to discern the place of the 21st century Christian in today’s fractured political environment. Via an exploration of theology, the Bible, and church history, the authors conclude that working toward the creation of God’s kingdom on earth will lead us to support free democratic societies and not autocracy and nationalism.
